Clear formed shell, printed card:
see the product, sell it on the peg.
A blister has to grip the product, seal clean, and survive the peg.
Blister packs sell by showing the product while protecting it — so cavity fit, a clean seal, and peg-survivability are the QC points. We thermoform to your product with a tight cavity and verify seal and drop. Food-grade PET is available for food-contact blisters.
What buyers ask before placing an order.
Face-seal, trap or clamshell?
Face-seal heat-seals a blister to a printed card (most common retail peg pack). Trap (full-face) sandwiches the card between two flanges for a card-free look. Clamshell is a one-piece folded shell that closes on itself (staple or self-lock). We make all types.
PET, PVC or recycled RPET?
PET is the clear, food-safe-capable default; RPET adds recycled content for sustainability goals; PVC is lower-cost where clarity is less critical; PP for living-hinge clamshells. We'll advise per product and market.
Is there tooling cost?
Yes — thermoforming needs an aluminium mould, a one-time cost quoted up front and amortised over your volumes. Simple cavities are economical; complex multi-cavity tools cost more but run faster.
Can you print and supply the backer cards?
Yes — printed SBS or kraft backer/header cards up to 8 colours, die-cut with Euro-slot or round hang holes, supplied assembled with the blister or flat for your own assembly.
Can blisters be food-grade?
Yes — food-grade PET is available for food-contact blister and trap packs (e.g. confectionery, dried food), with FDA/EU documentation. Specify food-contact at quote stage.
Can I get a sample before committing to a full run?
Yes — once the mould is cut we send physical blister samples (with your backer card) to check product fit, seal and peg-hang before production. Full production runs 20–25 days after tooling sign-off.
