Calendered greaseproof base, silicone for release:
bakes clean, peels clean.
Silicone gives the clean release; calendering gives the grease hold.
Greaseproof and baking paper is two products in one family: uncoated/dry greaseproof for butter and sandwich wrapping, and silicone-coated for bake-stable, non-stick release in ovens and trays. We make both, bleached or natural. Related: burger wrapping paper.
What buyers ask before placing an order.
What's the difference between greaseproof and baking paper?
Greaseproof paper is calendered (densified) to resist grease — used for butter, sandwiches and liners. Baking paper adds a silicone coating for non-stick, bake-stable release in the oven. We make both; silicone grade is the one that goes in the oven.
Bleached white or natural kraft?
Bleached white gives a clean, premium look and prints brightest; natural/brown kraft suits artisan and eco positioning. Both are food-contact safe — it's an aesthetic and brand choice.
Single or double-side silicone?
Double-side silicone releases from both faces (best for sticky doughs and lining trays both sides); single-side is more economical when only one face contacts food. We'll advise per use.
For butter wrapping specifically?
Butter wrap uses greaseproof (often with a light wax or laminated to foil for block butter — see our foil-laminated paper). For consumer butter blocks we can also supply pre-printed pre-cut wraps to your dieline.
Is it safe at oven temperatures?
Silicone baking grade is stable to roughly 220°C, food-contact safe and supplied with FDA/EU documentation. Uncoated greaseproof is not intended for direct oven baking.
What's the MOQ and lead time?
From 10,000 sheets or a 50 kg reel, 15–20 days. Unprinted stock can ship faster; we send sample sheets in your shade, gsm and coating for bake and release testing first.
